Many are frightened of astral travel as they fear they will not get back into their body, as I understand it we remain 'attached' by a silver cord, what are your thoughts?

That is why you haven't any energy, Joan. Concerve what you've got and use it sparingly.Joanie wrote:zerdini wrote:You need to study the laws relating to the conservation of energy.

I would rather be kept busy,Z than sitting gazing into space doing nothing.
That is my nature,I'm afraid.
You should know me better by now.

I quite often have dreams of various homes we have lived in over the years.
I often wondered for some reason why we are taken back to them. Not that any of them were very special to me.
Thanks

Get over what? It was a simple enough question. I assume you can't or won't answer it.

Re: The 'silver cord'
i posted this to get back to the op.
it has a snippet pertaining to th silver cord. unfortunately, some of the content is not easily accessed online, perhaps because of the market for cds etc from this site. basically it has info pertaining to the silver cord being the means to recognize if a person is alive or dead, say from a photo, and then on another part of the site, to archangel michael withdrawing the silver cord upon death. i found another reference to the silver cord. http://www.scribd.com/doc/42492444/The-Lucis-Trust-Library-2010-Catalogue
not sure how good it is.
zerdini, i just never mentioned it and am not sure whether its relevant to what i brought up. sorry about that, but it, "survival evidence", gets way too much air time and it bores me.

Re: The 'silver cord'
hi zerdini,
well in case you hadn't gathered it yet, i'm interested in development of the spirit and soul, true advancement. i make a lot of jokes, but am into the serious contemplation.
survival is fine, but then what? i was brought up as a catholic, though i adhere to no religion now, so survival was a foregone conclusion for most of my life (all healthy people should question) so hearing from your auntie ethel, and what we need to glean from that, is a minor part of what we need to work towards.
joanie, no i on't mind, i understand you are searching and trying to make sense of some stuff that has been a bit harrowing. don't get me wrong, every now and then i might read NDE's, or alison dubois..and love me some ghost whisperer...but then it is entertainment, yet i feel you never know what you may learn. even something small is worthwhile. i never dismiss anything without taking a good look. i might go see "hereafter" even.

I gathered you are interested in spiritual development - aren't we all - that's why we are on this site.
Fortunately, I wasn't indoctrinated with any orthodox religion but I can understand why your Catholic background has formulated some of your ideas.
Strange then' that when a 'dead' Catholic priest attempts to put right what he preached on eath you describe it as 'drivel'.
Hmmmm!

Re: The 'silver cord'
"...so hearing from your auntie ethel, and what we need to glean from that, is a minor part of what we need to work towards." really? Yet just that small step is one which is a Mount Everest to many.
"well in case you hadn't gathered it yet, i'm interested in development of the spirit and soul, true advancement." Perhaps someone might be able to enlighten me as to what the opposite is - 'false' advancement?
I had a couple of friends who also looked down their noses at mediumship and dismissed communication through mediumship as being below them.... They were linked (they claimed) directly to evolved entities, to angels and archangels who had never lived lives in-the-body but who were their personal gurus and guides.
The world of the spirit and our spiritual evolvement was, for them, a personal and selfish issue, one wholly of self-advancement. The fundamental of survival beyond death was scarcely considered.
Why they thought they came here, into the physical world, I never did figure....
