The Attraction of one Soul to Another.

We talk about soul mates but what does the term 'soul mate' actually mean?

Two ordinary people attracted to each other?

Two people who may find something within the souls attracted to each other?

Two people who are not attracted to each other but feel a pull together of the souls?

Two people who actively dislike each other,but feel that pull of the souls?

Do you feel the pull of souls has come through a previous life or some other reason?

Is it just a physical attraction that pulls those souls together?

Is it the brain power that attracts souls to each other?

is it the same interests that attracts two souls together?

Any answers please?

All of the above or any? I think it could be any choice. There could be the one you love, there could be another of the oppisite sex that you really could never see yourself loving but feel pulled to for whatever reason to be extreme friends, there could be that female friend that even though there are many ways you are different that you still feel drawn to them, and enjoy the company of these people so much. It makes your life full and happy and round.

Sorry had a busy morning....
One of those days.

Soul mates I am not sure I believe in. We all come across those we get on with through out life.
We also make enemies,bitter enemies,folks we feel uncomfortable with.
How can they be classed as soul mates?

My opinion is we all make good friends during our life span.
Some stay and some go. Same with families,one would think we would be close to each family member,but sometimes we have enemies within the family.

If ever I had any soul mates it would two people in my life. My husband and a long life friend.

A soul mate imo is someone you connect with but that connection goes beyond anything physical, they can be of either sex, any age, many find their partner is their soulmate but not always.

I think I was more curious about what stands for a soul mate,Violet. Is it deep feelings? Is it something that tells us that there is something different from this person to that one?

Hello, I have often heard soulmates referred to beings that develop a very close connection together in this incarnation. The connection grows so deeply that they become ingrained spiritually, their souls become linked together in different ways forming a bond that goes beyond death. It has been said that soul mates often reincarnate together in the world to live their lives together again.

There are differences in descriptions of what we call Soul Mates. As you have stated above,they are two people who form a deep connection with each other. A connection which cannot be explained.
A connection with the souls which comes through life after life.
They usually do reincarnate through several lives. Sometimes to patch up differences from one life to another.

There are also Twin souls which are very much the same.
Twin souls meld together finally in spirit at the end of their last lives.

A very good book to read about this subject to do with Soul Mates has been written by Michael Newton,I think. Haven't the name of the book or the author in front of me so I may be incorrect.

Look on the net for Soul Mates and you will pick up more information.

Thank you Joanie.. I didn't know that about twin flames, I had heard the name but had not researched it.

There are many other comparisons as well.

Twin souls.
Soulmates.
etc,etc.
(can't recollect some of the others....)

All linked by life after life. Always meeting up through each life. Sometimes to repair damage by a previous life. To come together until all is good and love prevails once more)

Twin Flames; Twin Souls and there are other terms used also especial this term twin and spouse eternal which the majority of people have not heard of. To keep it simple we will use the words spiritual twins; on this earth plane spiritual twins never meet unless it is for a special reason. We can meet soul mates soul groups and so on of which we are attracted to and even marry the one we are attracted to.

To go back to the spiritual twins male/female or if we like two halves of the one soul; now when both of these half souls come together in the spirit world the two halves have the ability to merge into one soul where we are neither male or female.



The merging of the two halves can not happen on this earth only in the spirit world can it happen but from what little I know there could be an exception to that rule as there is one set of twins on this earth who will meet and Joan my friend you know what I am talking about

Gone back to this old topic because chatting to a friend this evening,she is convinced she has met her soul mate. Not as in love but within her family.
Apparently she has met a man who very strongly reminds her of her brother who passed over several years ago.
They were born as twins but she survived and the brother died as a young toddler.
Other details were given but the resemblance between them both,she said is uncanny.

The man is a few years younger than her which could bear out the fact that the twin which died could have been reborn again as a male.

I found this pretty fascinating.

From my experience and what I'm getting is that soul mates are part of your soul family.

For instance we all have soul mate that resonates to our vibration. I for one am operating at a lower vibration, and am with a soul mate that that has a low vibration also, but she is operating on the negative vibration, meaning we have nothing in common, but to learn off each other and teach each other. I find it funny that her nightmares are very similar to mine, and some of her negative thoughts are the same also.

Now! I am finding out that there is also a shadow soul mate that I know. She has the same B-Day as my current one, and she is also of Scottish decent from her Grandmothers side, something with my current soul mate. The reason why I call her my shadow soul mate is that is that she cannot teach me anything that I don't know already in my spiritual path, even though the physical attraction is there. Her vibration is stuck between the lower vibration, and mid high vibration.

Now! I'm about to take a deep into the darkness to recover what is lost to raise my vibration. I been told that I will receive a Celtic cat, that will teach me to further myself in my spiritual development. Her strength is facing the west, where the physic intuition of the "self" lies. My true strength is going to the south(underworld) and north(knowledge). So she will teach me to quite my mind, and show me a thing or two, about meditating like a cat. She will also be my true love, here on Earth.

Since, we are part of the same soul family, my first dip into the unknown will release the shackles that are restraining my lower vibrating soul mate to move up the ladder, though it will be faintly felt by the higher soul mates. The 2nd time I take a dip, will be be for all 3 soul mates to move into their true selfs, and move up in the social ladder in the community.

I would be operating at my higher self, where I would reach my Twin Flame, who is one of my spiritual guides, leading me to her.

This is not all, my soul mates are representing Mother, who lies to the west or representing who is on my left. To have the soul family complete we must have someone on the right. The right side is represents Father, our best friend, or someone we feel comfortable talking too. They usually add logic to our lives, a confidant. I believe these people will some how get together with the soul mates after I move on.

The atom consist of electrons(female), Neutrons(neutral), protons(male). My spirit animal is the spider that is trying to link things together that makes sense in my spiritual path. We cannot grow without the help from those we are connected to, in our daily lives. Look around you the answers are there.

Soul mates come from the same source.    Regardless where we are in this world,we will meet life and afterlife.

Nothing can stop this happening.   We may not like it but we have to bear it.    Life and life until our souls come together again.
We may not like each other,doesn't say that Soul mates have to be best friends.   

A bind between us?    Or what holds each soul mate to each other?
