Has anyone tried gazing into pieces of crystal (as opposed to crystal balls)?

Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.

Re: Crystals
I know this is old so going to bump it with a reply.
One time I tried scrying with a tumbled purple fluorite with a candle behind it. I saw a sort of nonhuman 'face' and met the spirit of the crystal. It was friendly and I guess it might help with more scrying if I ever get around to it.

Re: Crystals
I have never thought to try this. I have only a clear fluorite with a rainbow in it to try. It is very tiny, but I might give it a try. I wonder what one might see if looking into in moonlight, like a full moon.

Re: Crystals
Moonlight seems to be a good experiment. If you do get around to it, please share your experience.
