Do Blind People See When They Dream

I used to wonder about this a lot once upon a time,and I don't really know anyone blind since birth,I have met folk who were blinded after a certain age so they know what sight is,maybe its enough to imagine they can see dreams?
But a person who has never had sight is a different matter,I believe they can see in the minds eye,just like a sighted person,maybe if they "imagine"!

Good point gig, I too have often wondered if blind people can see their dreams?, I support a lady who has had no sight and when people speak to hear she see's them I presume in her mind's eye as a colour, I once asked her what colour I was? she replied Yellow. So it does make you wonder.

That really is an interesting point, I'd love to know the answer!! 

Yes it really is interesting,and my theory is that when I close my eyes I am blind!
When I am asleep I am also blind,but I have a fully functioning optic nerve, I think but not sure that blindness can be caused by a lot of health issues including damaged optic nerves!

If my eyeballs were removed then the optic nerve would be severed,but,and a big but,the nerve is still connected to the brain,just like the "silver cord", I am of the opinion that folk do not realise that the cord that severs at the physical body at death has another "end"to it,just like the optic nerve?

So what about the pineal gland,it has an optic nerve too,is that connected to the same place in the physical brain as our orbits/eyes,or if let's say we are blind at birth then when we sleep we here on this website,or some/most of us believe in astral travel and we leave our disabilities behind,fast asleep on our beds!

Mmmmm,does anyone here have a friend who was born blind? Could we possibly ask that person to ask the blind friend?,its not bad manners is it?

Limited by their own minds,are all blind folk like the fellow in the video,or has he convinced himself that he really is blind,like a person who is sighted has a choice to astral travel or not,we all dream,but not all of us astral travel where the physical body and all its infirmities are left behind on a bed!
Has this fellow limited himself to be blind in spirit?
The spirit is not limited by the earths problems, ie,cancer,heart disease or amputations and paraplegia.
Why would the spirit soar off into the night sky during sleep if it is sightless,
just a thought,only a thought,I am pondering!

Yes they would dream with images, because they have memory of what is out there to be seen.

Logically I would say yes, how could you vision something that you have never seen.

It's not what I was asking, though.  I was wondering if persons who lost their sight, rather then being blind from birth, are still able to see in their dreams images based on the sight they once had. 

Or might their brains lose the facility of creating images in dreams when they haven't had any visual signals from the eyes in a long time?  But perhaps visual memories are never forgotten, however dated they become?

It's something, of course, that only a now-blind, formerly-seeing individual can actually report on.

When I sleep I do not use my physical eyes,they are "resting" from all the days activities,there must be an awful lot of muscles and nerves etc being used just to turn my orbits left and right,so sleep is a sort of respite for the eyes as well as the body as a whole!

But when I dream I do not use my eyes/orbits,I don't see with them when asleep?
So the blind person in the video that KP supplied could be a very "limited" person,by that I mean limited in his outlook,limited by his education that may or may not have stifled his ability to "dream,imagine,etc,"as most of us who astral travel know or have experienced,we leave our physical bodies behind!
