Re: Frightening NDE's
My brother-in-law fell off a ladder a died for a short time. I have tried not to pry very much into what he saw while dead, but my sister said he told her that there was no light waiting for him, nor any relatives or friends to greet him joyfully. Instead, he said that the place he went was very dark and frightening....a place he had no desire to stay. The experience was so frightening for him that he became an active member of the church, and rarely misses any event.
One of these days I am going to have to sit down and talk to him about it.

That's exactly the type of experience I was asking about, I hope he's been ok since his fall

Re: Frightening NDE's
Hello
I fell down 18 stairs face first. I bounced down every one hitting hard on me chest. To land face first on the sidewalk a the bottom. The thing that saved me from total c 4 fracture is that I landed on the left side of me chin not chin on flat. In that event I had heart failure for a bit....not to the point I needed to be brought back I did that for me. In yelling out " I will not die" I feel I knew me time was not done yet.
Its tramatic it puts me heart rate up some to think on it yes, but too its a life event that made me who I be today. Gave me insights to pain that I would not otherwise have. Appreciation for the gift walking is when I work with one in a chair. Comapassions for a simple headache as I have migraines at times.
Seeing the simple life pleasurers others might miss.

Re: Frightening NDE's
I've done some deep reading on the subject. One of my favoritte preachers mentioned his father had a similar incident.
The website I found most intriguing is: http://www.nderf.org/ and Violet if you have to remove this, no hard feelings. This is in no way trying to promote this website, just bring others to the great material found there.

Re: Frightening NDE's
Thank you Violet,
It is but I think our Angels are ignored by most all of us. I actually saw mine and after all these years I have a hard time believing in them. I can’t imagine how people that only have seen JUST this physical world alone can possibly really trust that they exist. Faith requirements must need to be very high. It seems to me that many angels shed allot of tears. Or are they all just waiting with infinite patience. Maybe I should just go find the Angels posts, and leave this to NDE topics.

Re: Frightening NDE's
Hi Tony, I don't feel they're ignored as such, it's probably more that people simply aren't aware of them.

yes I have read of cases of people having very frightening NDE's, but apparently they are very rare. I think it was from a book called 'Life after Life' by Dr Robert Moody. Approximately 98.8% of NDE's were recalled as good and positive.

Re: Frightening NDE's
Hi AngelTony ,
in response to your question yes I did have a NDE/OBE many years ago (1974) after I developed double pneumonia. That's why I'm so interested in the subject.

Re: Frightening NDE's
My son had a NDE he went code blue a few mins after he was born. Its not something you forget but I never put 2 & 2 together why he is the way he is. A friend asked if he had one a few wks ago & i started reading some great stuff on children & NDEs, great stuff. I'll dig up the link.
It explains why all the angels & spirits around him & around me as well. And the sensitivity to medications and so many other things.
