Hotting up!
It seems we're in for a heatwave up to 16 degrees c by next weekend, that's odd for february.

Re: Hotting up!
Spring certainly came early this year. Here the trees are already green with new leaves and flowers are blooming a whole month early. Already frogs are trilling and skinks are scampering about. It looks and feels more like end of April than March. Hopefully we will not have a brutally hot Summer.

Re: Hotting up!
I always feel that weather like this has to be paid for, I predict a wet and unusually cold April it's a strong feeling and I wouldn't be at all surprised if we saw a little snow.

Re: Hotting up!
No Violet.
When I was in Australia,I lived in Mackay,up North Queensland.
Feather is a bit further up coast.
But we could book short flights from MacKay to Brisbane (too far to drive) and do a day's shopping in the main town of Brisbane.
We could get 'specials' on fares at weekends costing in English currency about £25.
Used to catch the early flight morning and return back in the evening. Flight used to take about an hour and 20 mins each way.
Fantastic!
Joanie xx

Re: Hotting up!
As the locals would say, "It's been wazzing it down". Mind you, it's been mild with it, so we've had that wonderful fresh, earthy smell of spring rain. Lovely.
