    self-reading Empty self-reading

Post  pageofwands Mon Jun 10, 2013 5:18 pm

Okay I pulled for myself the other day, but I am trying to be very unbiased and anytime I see the ace of cups I get way to excited to be unbiased... so if anybody could way in on the following reading, even a little, it would really help me out! I am using the shadowscapes deck by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law.

    PAST----------------- PRESENT-------------- FUTURE

The Star---------------Page of Cups----------Ace of Cups
    Reversed--------------Upright---------------Upright

I don't want to bring it of the topic but you really shouldn't read for yourself because you already know the answer. You just need to look deep into yourself and figure out who you really are.

Also, I hope you find what you looking for

Of course you should read for yourself, the cards will help you to answer your own questions, but there are a few tips to make it easier.

When doing a self reading, which is the best layout?  I have tried the Celtic cross but I prefer the good ol' standby 3 card draw.  Past, present and future.

Maybe it's a personal thing?  Like some people like perfume, some don't. Maybe?

I think it is okay to read for yourself... as long as you are very self-aware while you're doing the reading. It's all too easy to skew a reading to be the way you want it to be. It can be very subtle and some might say subconscious... taking all readings with a grain of salt is a good idea (they are only as good as the filter that delivers them) and self-readings should involve two grains.

That said, having an outside party confirm your thoughts and cards is also a good idea *smiles*

I basically thought this.  I was trying to make it simple and saying the perfume thing.  It failed.
