Rider Waite deck Empty Rider Waite deck

Post  shayn Thu Apr 29, 2010 10:08 am

hi all i have  a question about the Rider deck.
i found several decks with the name rider waite on it, a universal rider waite, a golden rider waite and so on, can any of you tell me what is the difference? and which is more recommended? i never really liked them much but for some reason i need to own a rider waite deck. i did try to look it over the net but got confused, so any help is wellcome.
i know there is a deck that is very yellowish in colour and i really don't like this one.
and no, i can't go over to a shop to look at them for many reasons, i have to know what i want so i can order it over the net.

    thanks for your help

The generic Rider Waite is a yellow box, but the cards a bluish on the backs.

Violet, I hope it's ok to put this link in for shayn's benefit? If not please delete.

These 2 links provide information which you may find helpful. Click on the 'read reviews' too shayn. You could also try Amazon for suggestions.

Unfortunately the link shows 'The Hermit' card which doesn't display much symbolism to make a good enough comparison although i'm sure other sites will have.

Sorry Shayn I never got round to looking until now, the decks i've got look pretty much the same but the one in The Original Rider Waite box look to have bolder colours.
