I too am a tarot collecter lol have too many here, although not as many as some people I have met along my spiritual travelling. I mainly use Native American Tarot by Laura Tuan and Mystic Dreams is another one I used to use til it got soaked....miffed on that one because it was a beautiful deck but haven't ventured to get another since. Should I get another one? vision quest which again got soaked so was miffed on that too because that was a fantastic deck.
Oracle cards I use are: Faerie Wisdom by Sasha St john, lately bough the fairy ring lol by anna franklin, mermaids and dolphins by doreen virtue, brian froud faerie decks are mischievous but don't ask them to be cryptic cause they'll turn out blunt pmsl lovely deck though, more based on faeries rather than the 'fairy' kind. Magical unicorns too so yes I guess you could say I'm a tarot/oracle card and crystal ball collector lol have 4 crystal balls here too weird though as still into tarot and oracle at moment. Can't seem to get along with the mystic faerie tarot by linda ravenscroft though as was taught to read colours rather than how I usually read tarot with feelings and inuitions. :peace:

Like many people, I started with the R-W tarot and I found it hard work - it just did not speak to me. Then my daughter bought me a birthday present - the Sacred Circle Tarot, a genuine pagan tarot based on Celtic mythology, not Christian. The artwork is stunning and every card speaks volumes to me. Even my method of taking cards has changed. I spread the whole deck, face down, and just run my fingers tips across the backs - the cards make themselves known to me in this way. Have a look in Eclectic.tarot, beautiful cards.
I also read the I-Ching. I find it lyrical and poetic, and filled with wisdom.

My favorites are Psychic Tarot, Rider-Waite, Osho Zen, Ascended Masters, Legacy of the Divine Tarot (although admitedly for the card design), Wisdom of the Hidden Realms, and Soul Lessons & Soul Purpose Oracle.

I started out with the original Rider-Waite and found it did not work for me either.

I then bought a copy of the Druidcraft tarot and was just blown away at how they spoke to me.

I've since bought a copy of the Alchemical Tarot: renewed, which seems to work well, but I've not spent a lot of time working with it. I tend to reach for my Druidcraft when I read!

The Sacred Circle is one which I've always been interested in, but I was reading it's even a bigger leap from the traditional tarot style than the Druidcraft, and I wanted to wait until I was more comfortable before I tried it.

I also have a few oracles, but they don't really speak to me.

Neely, with the Sacred Circle you just look at any card and it tell its own story to you. It really plays to your intuition. The pack comes with an A5 book from the originators which is a mine of info concerning Celtic mythology.

My Current Favourite is The Legacy of the Devine Tarot by Ciro Marchetti, Prior to that it was the Pictorial Key Tarot.
I think it's a bit of a chore to scour all the decks currently available, Yet if you find one resonates . One that kick starts your intuition and latent psychic ability, That search is well worth it.

    Hi Emma

Funnily enough I have this deck and I find I can work very well with it, there is a lot of fantastic imagery on them, but the Doreen Virtue type cards leave me cold.

I also recommend the Arthurian tarot by Caitlin and John Matthews. It's a great study deck for those who are interested in Arthurian legends and decks with a little more substance.
