in a deck of cards, oracle cards or tarot, is it the artwork, the feel of them or something else perhaps even the price?

for myself i guess it is combination of the art work and the feel i get from the cards. sometimes also the name of the cards will make me want to have it.

    Hello

I have me first ever deck, for many year's without even knowing or I guess wanting to know what deck it was I would visaully have cards flash. I never bothered to LOOK at that deck they were from. Did not seem to matter was given the image and it was easy to tell what the card meant. One day I was talking with a friend and her Avitar was a card and it looked familiar to me. I found out it was the most traditional of all decks I WOKED with the Raiders Wratie .

I got a deck The Halloween Deck why it felt like ME. Have I used it not much. Easier to just go OK reading time than find a deck to look at. Its FUNNY and its ME so it feels right for me to have.
Do the images matter not to me they "called to me" from the shelf. I did not want cards at the shop.

Even though the Rider Waite is a popular deck, it just doesn't appeal to me at all.

I feel pulled towards deck that are colorful, fantasy art work, decks that look mysteries like the gilded tarot which I love and all my oracle cards have angels on them as I connect better and the most with images of angels upon them.
