Is there any way

of testing a crystal ball to see whether it is a glass one or a a true crystal ball?

When you hold your ball up to the light, natural crystal is likely to have flaws and marks within it. Glass is likely to be clear (or have uniform small bubbles in it). When you hold a glass ball in your hand, it will warm up quicker than a crystal one.
There is a posh way of doing it which involves water displacement and weight, but it's a bit complicated for my blonde head

Also,doesn't crystal show colours like a rainbow when help up to the light?
My daughter in law bought me a lovely crystal perfume decanter.
When held up to the light,all the colours show.
Mind it has,faceted sides to it,like a pattern.
I love crystal.
