Is there anything natural which can be used on sunburn?

Hi Violet...a couple from a book that I have... Amazing Kitchen Cures.

Vinegar can be used full strength on sunburn for quick relief.

Wet Tea bags applied to sunburn helps as the tannic acid in tea relieves pain.

A Witch hazel solution applied to the sunburn can help.

Aloe Vera gel can sooth and relieve pain.

When I was a kid and got sunburnt Mum used to soak us in a tepid bath in which baking soda (1and a half cups or so)was dissolved ....for about 15 minutes.... then the solution of the bath was allowed to dry on the skin. I think it helped.

this is what we do when we get sun burn, it is a bit expensive but really help.

you need a bottle of Gin, sometimes you would need 2. you put a cloth soaked with gin where you got the sunburn, and when you start feeling that the place starting to feel hot again you pour more gin on the cloth while it is on your body, and you keep doing it for a while, a while can be one 2 hours, and you will feel that with time it is less burning and less burning. then you would need a yogurt and just spread that over your sunburn. but you can also use shea butter, better pure shea butter, this is very good for sunburns and burns as usual.

hope this helps. and really the gin thing is very calming for the skin.

Thank you both there's lots to try there, the vinegar was a surprise, i'll probably try that first as it's cheap, it's not quite as sore today.Sunburn? 21581
