Energy...Energy...Energy...
Energy has something to do with magic. Basically, energy is what everything that exists is
made of. Think back to your school days (if you are able to go to school Lol
just kidding) , when you learned about atoms, the way they consist of things like electrons and protons, which
are charged particles that whirl around at inconceivable speed. Broken down to the smallest of their components, all things are – energy. If you keep that in mind, you’ll begin to understand that the statement “we are all connected” isn’t some poetic idea but hard scientific fact.
What follows is that nothing we do is without consequence. What you send out into the universe, like a thought vibration or an emotional vibration, vibrates at a certain frequency. The laws of nature teach us that similar frequencies attract each other, or simply put, “like attracts like”. Therefore, if you send out positive energy, you will attract positive energy.
Looking at the above principle, you’ll probably understand why it is that experienced practitioners of magic tend to warn you not to use hate or revenge spells. Often, you hear this warning clad in poetry, like the famous “An it harm none, do what thou wilt” in the Wiccan rede. However, it’s nothing to do with idealistic love of mankind or being a good person if you steer clear of hate spells – you’ll have to “become” hate yourself and are likely to attract hate into your own life as well. You’d have to be a masochist to want to do that!
Yes, there are ways to block the “backfiring” negative energy that follows in the wake of a negative
spell. But let me tell you that not only is this very advanced magic, but it also uses vast amounts of your own life energy, leaving you drained, exhausted, and tired. All in all, it’s not worth it, in my humble opinion.
What I said in my previous post in Grounding .Magic can be a lot more than spells. I personally hardly use spells at all. What I use magic for is to tune myself into the vibrations of the world around me. It’s a wonderful feeling being “in the flow” and not resisting what life directs my way. If I feel stressed or drained, I take a walk in nature and do some grounding. Grounding means to get rid of superfluous energy that might make you twitchy and tense (stress is always a sign of trapped and blocked energy!), and you can take in energy from the world around you if you are tired and low.
Magic gives me insight into the intricate mechanisms of the universe, the way the energy flows and works. It helps me be aware of the divine in me and around me. Magic makes me aware of what I need to pay attention to in my life. And these are just a few examples.
