Butterfly Meaning

Is it true that when a butterfly is around, that means spirit is around? 

Today this butterfly flew right in front of me as I went to go inside. Didnt think much of it at the time.  When I came back outside...it found me and landed on me.  I was in the middle of doing yard work and it still remained on me for a good amount of time.  My daughters were all fascinated by the way it hovered around me. 

some believe so... it is really up to you and what you believe in. try and recall your thoughts and feelings, at when the butterfly set on you.. it might give you some insiughts

May I ask what you were wearing at the time,Partofme?

if it was something brightly coloured the butterfly may have been attracted by the colour.  The colour of flowers?     I remember standing outside once when I was out in Oz,the butterfly I have ever seen,flew towards me.   I backed off.

The wing were hugh.....

As for what I was thinking at the time, not too much really.  Concentrating on getting some things accomplished in the yard. 

I was wearing a grey shirt and sage colored shorts.   Everyone was able to check it out so that was the best part.   My kids are all very much into nature. 

Maybe it has more to do with the type it was. I did look up the type last light but didnt read anything about it. If I find anything interesting or that resonates with me, I'll report.  Otherwise it was just one of those times that nature gave us a gift!

They are territorial and often land on humans.  They are found in the UK too, which I found interesting.  They travel a wide distance.

Red Admiral butterfly signifies spirit or souls.  For some culture it symbolizes transformation and resurrection. However it is also associated with a short concentration span or the one who flips through interest easily. Since the butterfly can camouflage themselves easily, it can also signify things which are hidden and not as they appear.

That's interesting.   Meanings of butterflies.   Strange,we usually get a lot of butterflies in the UK but haven't seen many this summer.   Plus bees.   Never seen a bee or a wasp so far.

Shows how much the summers have cooled down  over the last few years.

Weather is definately changing here bit by bit.

I spectate them butterflies and it's sweeter than them plushies birds.

Butterflies are all about transformation. WE are lucky we have lots of butterfly bushes and the farmer next door keeps bees so we always see them buzzing around.

I've had a few butterflies land on me, they are special to me for lots of reasons.
