what does one hope to see with scrying ?

why does one scry?  what are you looking for ? can you find missing items this way ?

you can try dowsing - it may give more zoned in clue as to where they are.

I asked my pendulum if my keys were in the dining room , then the kitchen and got no for an answer and these were definite fast moving swings !

Once I found my keys in my pants that were washed and put away....

Hi Frisky Fox, many people scry to communicate with spirits but it can be very difficult, some believe they can see visions of the future, looking for lost items?  I suppose theoretically it could work, i'd be interested to hear if anyone has had any success with this.

so on the spirit communication, the scrying is to bring the spirits into view, so to speak
so one can communicate with them ? can you ask for who you want to communicate with ? or is it like just opening the door and inviting anyone in ?

visions of the future would be interesting to see !

Scrying, to me, is a rather artistic divination tool.  It's purpose is to show the unseen - I prefer blackdrop scrying when giving a reading using photographs, to show people who can't see auras or apparitions, what I'm seeing. Some people need to keep the background energy of the photo intact in order to see all the unseen health information. No one way is better. Whatever form of scrying you choose to do is whatever is best with your current energy bodys needs.

Scrying is a form of spirit communication. Their are so many things about scrying... Connecting to love ones, animal communication, trance. Visions, seeing the future. Symbols that rerpesent ones self.

Many people use a black mirror with a white candle. But for me I sometimes scry with clouds.

With scrying, you tend to get what you may not be expecting. It is not directable or controlled by you.

I found that the new flat screen TV's make excellent black mirrors. Any "visions" will occur in your peripheral sight, not central.
