    rude people...
    Everyone would have their method.
For me, apart from humour, I like to use kindness.

Don’t let a rude person cause you to respond with more of the same. One of the best ways to defuse rude and negative behaviour is to stay friendly and positive. This gives the other person a chance to calm down and adjust their behaviour to match yours. Kindness can be a wonderful antidote to rudeness.
Showing kindness to someone who is being surly or insulting to others can be extremely difficult. But by setting a calm and well-mannered example, you can prompt them to follow your lead. If this doesn’t work, you can take pride in knowing that you didn’t lower your standards or add your own rude behaviour to the mix. Instead, you maintained your cool.

The same,  kindness or humour, I know people who get really angry at rudeness but it only gets THEM angry, the rude person has swanned off and they are left seething, it’s pointless

Hightened, I noticed that right off about you.  Someone posted a rude comment to you and you countered with humor.  And the other person came back positively!  I bookmarked that behavior for future use in my own life. I used it not to long ago when I was verbally attacked (online of course) and it worked for me to.  They came back laughing and thanking me for being a good sport.

I can only think of one individual who it maybe you refer to. :asmile: One of many things in such a short time that I had worked out recently that rather than feed a negative fire with more negativity only exacerbates the positions of those involved. Instead, put a positive twist on it. With many things that go on in our lives, instead of fighting against that negative paradigm, create a new positive one to replace it with.
