I believe that "Our Earth Mother" is trying to heal the injuries that have been inflicted upon her by "Mankind"...
To heal a wound you have to destroy the infection, in this case the infection is "Mankind"...
We stab her with fangs of steel and suck out her lifes blood (oil)...i'm not a scientist but oil looks like dark blood to me...
We are destroying one of "Earths" most beautiful treasures and most needed resource...("The Rain Forest")...
We Dump our "Chemical Waste" in The Oceans Of The World or in "Land Fills"...
We do/did "Nuclear Testing" in and on "Sea and Land"...
We are taking a long time to realize how we are hurting "Our World" and just when we have begun to understand the damage we are doing and just when we decide to correct the damage...another country decides that it wants to do nuclear testing!!!
Yes "Earth" will fight back with "Natural Disasters" because like "Any/Every Living Entity"...survival is paramount...
All these "Mega Storms" are possibly "Mother Earths" way of ridding herself of infection/bad bacteria...
ps...(at least she has good bacteria fighting on her behalf)...

i believe the earth is molten rock with life on, in and around it, not that it is alive/ conscious itself. however, i do believe the disasters we've seen in recent times are warnings, and i have dreamt of more severe, more common warnings to come. the "devastation" we see will help to correct the damage wrought by humans.
