Re: ~Butterflies~
Here is a song I wrote for a friend who died from cancer, he loved butterfly's and even had one tattooed on his arm. The song is the metamorphosis of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly but in a spiritual way, I hope you like it.

I'm sorry for your loss, but that is a beautiful tribute.

Re: ~Butterflies~
I wrote this for my grandmother when she passed away:
I could liken her to a butterfly
breaking free from spent cocoon.
Seeking grass that's greener,
and skies a brighter blue.
Eyes with a renewed keeness
will enjoy all colours anew,
and will now behold the diamond drops,
of the early morning dew.
She'll hear the orchestra of a stream
and the songs the robin sings.
The quiet whispers of the breeze
as it softly caresses her wings.
Her legs will be much stronger
as she flits from bloom to bloom,
what we see as a flowerbed,
now becomes her new dance room.
So don't despair as she spirals aloft,
heaven bound in her ascent.
And know one thing for certain,
she was truly heaven sent.
I could liken her to a butterfly
breaking free from spent cocoon.
Seeking grass that's greener,
and skies a brighter blue.
Eyes with a renewed keeness
will enjoy all colours anew,
and will now behold the diamond drops,
of the early morning dew.
She'll hear the orchestra of a stream

Re: ~Butterflies~
Hi Violet have you had any butterfly's flying around you or even landing on you since your grandmothers passing ?, its just that after my friend died when I was walking outside there were butterfly's all around me. When I went to visit his wife one actually landed on me and stayed on me, his wife said look you brought a butterfly upstairs with you ?. Or was there anything that your grandmother loved that showed up more than normal afterwards ?.

Hi Psychoslice, yeah that's happened lots, once very soon after her passing, it was a magical moment. It must have been a special moment for you too.

Re: ~Butterflies~
The largest butterfly I have ever seen was up in Mackay in Oz....North Qld.
Standing outside in the sunshine, one came towards me and I backed off from it...
Beautiful wings,the colours were superb...
Just wished I had,had a camera in my hands...

Re: ~Butterflies~
Why don't we see so many butterflies now? Is it because of the weather?
Same as bees? Why are they so rare?
