    Court Cards Empty Court Cards

Post  Kaere Tue Aug 31, 2010 11:06 pm

Does anyone else have trouble reading the court cards? I pulled three cards for myself - Queen of Wands, King of Wands, and the Page of Cups.

I mean...come on! Would this be three people or three aspects of me or :rfth:

Any thoughts on an approach would be helpful.

It's entirely possible I stomped my foot and muttered under my breath when I did radiclol. I won't say that I did, but it's possible :giggles:

haha! sounds just like me. they just really make me doubt myself and lose confidence in my interpretation of them. to be honest i'd probably scrap them and pull some more.

do you mind me asking what you thought of those cards together? because i have no clue.. :stars:

Queen of Wands, King of Wands, and the Page of Cups.

Imo the king and queen of wands can indicate a married couple or a couple as though they were married, the page of cups (again imo)could represent a third party, because this is a page it could be a child (are you expecting)or it could be a child rocking the boat, alternatively the page could indicate the male half of the relationship is 'acting like a child' looking at it again in another way the page of cups relates to love (because of the cups) so perhaps this is something which will bring you closer together, I can't think from the top of my head what the page represents so i'll pull the card and see what I feel from it back in a tick

Hmmm this is a tricky one for me as i'm used to the rider waite, the overall feeling i'm getting is a peace offering of sorts though it is up to you or him whether to take this or not, whether or not this smooths out any creases
remains to be seen but the offer is there, I see assistance from spirit in this card but also a strange kind of beast rearing it's head in the background suggesting you can move away from difficulties should you choose to, basically it's not answering anything, it's just giving you the options so you can decide for yourself, it feels like decision time.

Hmmm okay thanks Violet - so you'd read it as individual people. In that case, only a miracle could bring that situation about.

Am I expecting? No, that would be unlikely. But I can see how the Page could represent a child or youthful attitude connected to the Queen and King, if I was reading for someone else.

Decision time - I've made my decisions already for the most part.

Thanks very much for your thoughts - court cards drive me up the wall.

Hi Kaere, it depends sometimes I see them as people other times not, this goes back to me using playing cards, because when using those I put most of the deck out so that spread could indicate people or part of a situation depending on the cards around them three court cards as a three card reading can be very difficult, have you drawn a fourth to ask for clarity?

No I haven't but these cards were from three days ago - I'm probably going to pull some more tonight, for practice and curiosity's sake :astar: I might ask the pendulum for clarity as well as I'm having some luck with it. I've been working on trying to do a celtic cross reading but it usually gets so complicated to follow for me! Tsk, such a simple girl lol.

    hi Kaere

you can read them as aspects of your personality and not as people in your life and you can read them as situations as well.
king of wands:learning how to balance your life and bring balance into your life epsecially learning how to turn your ideals and value into the parcitcal level of life... hope i put it in clear english. also and this returns to personality aspects, what are you motives? where are you coming from and where are you going...

queen of wands: you are leaning on others and this is fine as long as it is not too much that you can't stand on your own feet anymore. and at the same breath you close yourself too much as to lose contuct with yourself.

page of cups: losing your head... not thinking clearly,,, well mostly falling inlove... but it can be any form of emotions taking over rational thinking.

and you know it can be all together, it can be people in your life that in away also reflects aspects of your personality, and it can be events as well. it is only you who knows your life better to see what works well for you.

Thanks Shayn, I can see how you've done that, taking the aspects of the court card and applying them to the sitter. It's an abstract concept to me for some reason, hard to make that "leap". But your ideas in this case really do fit quite well, particularly the page.

Incidentally, I pulled 6 of Wands, 7 of Wands, Page of Swords, Queen of Cups - oh brother :giggles: anyhow, using the advice from everyone here, it's really clear and easy to read.

    Thanks

Briefly, Kaere, I would say you may have to let go of trying to control the outcome of the situation as this distracting you from being the person that you truly are. In doing this you may find the warmth, friendship and compatibility that you're hoping for.

    hi Kaere

if i may add some advice: it is very hard to read to oneself, it takes practice and even then sometimes our emotions and wishes and fears stand in the way.. but if you want to practic reading to yourself, at first use only the major cards. do a 3 cards readings or 4 card readings or even only a one card insight into your current situation but use only the major aracana's card... it will be easier to start this way and later on move to work with all the cards...

I'll keep this in mind - I think it's a great idea actually. Funny that I do try so hard to keep my emotions out of the way and think practically, they always show up anyway!

yes, it is funny how one's emotions allways find the way in, i don't think you can push or hide your emotions, the trick is, i think, is to accept your emotions as part of the "game" but be very true about what your emotions are, what are your wishes, fears, hopes and so on, and at the same time have a clear look at the cards, epseicllay when you think you read your emotions in the cards reread it again and again. it is hard to keep them out it is hard to read with them in... besides the idea of the one card, when i read for myself, i read as if for a 3rd person, i talk out loud, and i don't use me or i or words like that, i refer to myself with my full name and talk about myself as if it was not me. it takes time to get used to that but i find it very helpful.
