The adding of a link is free to all though we would ask that you return the favour and post a link for us at your site.

Spamming links to your website/forum either in the forum or via our pm system will result in a ban.

Reasonable links to your forum/website of a reasonable size are permitted in your signature once you reach member status.

Spiritual Inspiration and it's staff are not responsible for the content of other forums in this section, though if we find any links here to porn sites and the like they will be removed without notice.

Um,put my foot in it there,didn't I?

Active members may be able to encourage silent members but how do you find out what's of interest to them when the members are, well, silent???

How about removing some of those names say,after a year?

I did consider that once then changed my mind as i've seen members come back, not just here but other sites i've run/worked on too, a lot longer than a year later in some cases and i've been guilty of long absences myself :blush:

so I know first hand how difficult it can be sometimes.

Believe it or not i've 'lurked' myself and I found it to be a good good feeling it's like having a secret and you're in a place where you are totally anonymous, I was far too nosy for it to last long though :giggles:

I see nothing wrong either and I didn't suggest any such thing.

Neither did I suggest members should feel ashamed of what they write - where did that come from? I made no suggestion either that members are not free to do whatever they choose. Quoting my earlier posting with a response that hardly relates to it is misleading and I resent that being done.

What I did say was that it was the active members, the contributors, that stop the place becoming a reference library. Before anyone says it, there's nothing wrong with reference libraries and a knowledgeable member here maintains one which is second-to-none for all kinds of details.

But a forum isn't a reference library and new members help keep topics active.
