Native American Indians
Are noted for their spirituality, many people have Native American Indian spirit guides, i'm researching this vast subject at the moment and hope to post some information here for you soon but for starters I was fascinated to read of certain Indians 'turning into arrows' and 'travelling,' sometimes for great distances, naturally I know they didn't literally morph into arrows but is this their way of remote viewing or astral travel, what are your thoughts on this or anything else you may have read or heard about their spiritual beliefs/practices?

Re: Native American Indians
I believe Shamanism is one of the more interesting aspects of the Native Americans or as most people know them by Medicine Men. Although its not a religion I still find it fascinating. The Hopi Indians were another interesting Native American Tribe, of course they used a lot of snakes in their rituals not something many would want to try I am sure.

Re: Native American Indians
Some Indian's were more in tune with their spiritual sides, and were known for their spiritual visions, and simplistic lifestyle. Using of herbs for all sorts of medicinal purposes.

turtle island people
native americans , were many years ago known as the children of turtle island , each nations had often different reasons why they called america or even the world that name but they all came up with that title .
some nations say that if you stood on the coast by the sea and walked inland you walked up the turtles back until you crossed america and came down to the beach again.
others say that a beautiful lady fell from the sky and landed on a giant turtles back. the ducks and otters dived to the bottom of the lake brought up mouthful of soil placed it round the turtles shell to stop the mother falling into the water and this was the begining of the earth .
we think we are good if we have an obe for a few minutes yet some holymen/medicine men could leave their bodies for up to four days . but then they were the keepers of the earth mother and knew how to connect with all of natures energies which has ben lost for many years now (the old ways that is )
to the people i will meet here

native american
did you know that the older native american people were annoyed and upset about being called "indians"
as far as they were concerned they were" the children of turtle island."
when the spanish landed on the shores of america they saw dark skinned people there and thought they had landed on the shores of india, and thats how the name "indian" came about but it did offend the older ones.
many things change over the years and sadly the the remaining native people seem to except the word "indian" in their language.

We stick together, but are brave enough meet people by ourselves. Many tribes have different societies for women, hunters and warriors.
We are not the people many take us for.

Many of us, both young and old feel that we have earned the name American Indians.

Hi Thunder Bow, tell us a bit more about your Navajo culture.Thunder Bow wrote:I am Navajo. New here.
When I was a teenager I had a dream about me being a young Native American girl, living in a big house. I was tending to a fire and I saw many fires under that same roof, like different families lived all together. I never forgot that dream and when I grew older I researched and found out about the long houses, the Iroquois long houses and since then I had this connection to them....and one of my dreams is to visit the lands of the old Iroquois Federation....one day.

Re: Native American Indians
From what I was told growing up...which was very little. On my fathers side, I have a grandfather that was 1/2 Indian.
Seen pictures of my fathers siblings and parents just a few years back and he looked like a nasty old man.

It would take much typing to say all there is about my people. The Navajo Nation is located in NE Arizona. We don't like ghosts and skin walkers. Most of what is said online covers some of the Navajo Culture. Dine'bizaad is our language, that is still spoken on the reservation today.
