Do you have a 'double'

I just wondered as I was pounced upon in another town and called by a different name by a total stranger she looked like she didn't believe it when I said I wasn't the person she thought it was.

I think almost everyone has a double somewhere, but why, or is it all chance?

Poor ### who's my double! Seriously, though, I do or did have a double because I saw him in a motoring magazine some years back and still have the copy. A spitting image of me and selling cars for a living.

I suppose that somewhere there's a fair chance that many of us will have a fair double. All chance? I reckon. There's a limited number of major appearance variations and almost inevitably an appearance will be near-enough replicated to appear as a double.

Chances are, though, that we may never be aware of 'em - even over a lifetime.

But several years ago in Oz,was coming home from work. There was a lady walking in front of me,as I passed her,she turned her face towards me and I nearly fell over.
She was the double of my mother!
Age,height and features.
That upset me because I had lived in Oz for several years then and hadn't seen my parents since I left the uk.

AND OH DEAR!!!
I do supply teaching in my retirement! Today I entered the Staff room where another supply teacher was sat supping coffee!
As I entered she 'shreiked' and spilled her coffee.
When she had recovered she said i was the double of her 'Father in law' who lives in Glasgow!
She said she would bring in a photo tomorrow--will let you know tomorrow night!
