I have tried, but I always seem to find my eyes wandering around the room or not being able to clear my mind at all...it is hard for me with my eyes closed!!!

99.99999% of the TIME yes. Closing them only for short stints. At times creeps the one out doing a Guided Meditation til they understand me some.....

No, if I'm consciously meditating, I prefer my eyes closed. The blinking keeps bringing me back

I prefer to meditate with my eyes shut though I have opened my eyes during meditation and have still been able to see what I saw with them shut.

Hi while waiting for my train i had a try at this (its a late train in a quiet station) and it was ok i didnt blink to much i just focused lightly on a mark on the wall and i did notice my vision from the corners of my eyes went blurry and i could see little pulses of light gold mainnly anyone else had this love and lightxx

This is an older thread, but perhaps not an important one, in the sens that what is written, could be important to anyone.
Weather I used to or still close my eyes or not depends on what I am doing.
Most of what I am doing these days is energy work, and for that I need my eyes open. If I connect to my higher self I need my eyes open.
It is easier to focus inward with the eyes closed.
