    If the dead had been properly prepared that the journey to the afterlife could take place. So that the dead could live again. They viewed death as a temporary end of life, as that life would continue on in the afterlife.

    Taking the view of an Afterlife where we simply temporarily end life to continue in life in a new place is that our Spirit that goes ? Or is it our Soul that goes ?

    Isn't our soul part of our spirit? Are we also talking of reincarnation here?
    Same soul and spirit to be reborn again into a new physical shell?
