Re: Do you think plants...
Yes.
There have been tests to prove it, where electrodes were attached to a plant before a leaf was cut off and a reaction from the plant was measured. In addition I read somewhere that if the same person always cut off a leaf, the plant would react before that person even touched it.
Might be able to find more on Google but don't have time at the minute.
In the same way, plants apparently thrive when, in addition to care and watering, they are spoken to gently and encouragingly, so I suppose we could say that they 'feel' - how else to qualify these reactions?

So, chopping the dead heads off plants won't hurt then?

If the heads are already dead, perhaps they don't 'feel' it, but only if you cut off a part that's still alive.

Re: Do you think plants...
I talk to my plants. I wouldn't do it if I didn't think it had an influence. I imagine they pick up the positive vibrations that emanate from me when I commune with them. Dead-heading is like humans having a haircut, we feel better for it.

Hello
I think so. Mythbusters did a show on that "Myth" and the plants did seem to do better that have the LOVe towards them.
Like all things they too are energy and living tissue.
