I don't know Violet, but I've seen most crystals set in silver. Silver is more the Moon connection...feminine, intuitive....and gold is more the Sun connection...male, action.
I like to wear a mixture of gold and silver sometimes...a silver pendant on a gold chain. Or a gold pendant on a silver chain. I sometimes wear my silver angel on a gold chain.
I suppose some crystals would be more suitable when set in silver....like moonstone.....or in gold ...like diamonds.

Hi Feather, I always think crystals look nicer in silver
but just wondered if it could have a negative effect on anything, i've heard that about silver being 'feminine,' perhaps the gentler crystals are better in that and power crystals in gold.

You could be right Violet...I was thinking...I have never seen a diamond set in silver...white gold yes but not silver.
