Was just wondering if anyone on here had seen Doris when she was alive. I happened to find something on youtube and she was so funny.
Also has anyone read her books? I have 4 of them and have just started to reread them again, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Good old medium was Doris,Maureen.Doris Stokes 834839

    Very human and very motherly.

There is a member on the other site would tell you all about Doris.

He often visited her for readings beside being a medium himself.

He always says 'Visiting Doris was like visiting your Nan.'.

I read all her books many years ago, written in an easy and comfortable style, it's going back a bit though.

Know just what you mean Joan. I agree with the other person that she always seemed so easy to talk to. I found her books so comforting after my mother passed and I think it was these books plus the wonderful people at the spiritualist church I went to in Rushden that got me seriously interested in the 'after life' as some people say. I only regret that I was never able to see her.

She is one medium I would have loved to see.

Didn't her husband pass over as well?

Doris Stokes 348985 Yes i saw Doris Stokes i saw her a couple of times she came on stage very relaxed state sat in her chair, it was like being back in nursery school the teacher sitting on the chair kids on the floor, waiting for a story to be read to them,

a lot of people liked her because she was so relaxed, but on the other hand other people were she wasnt any good because they didnt get a nessage, i have read all her books, and to be honest i didnt think she said anything different, to what i read in her books.

I imagine John has passed as well Joan. They seemed devoted to each other.

I understand what you're saying Native Spirit, but I think you could say the same for any medium.

Doris' great niece is also a medium. I had a reading with her two weeks ago, absolutely fabulous and a lovely lady. Very helpful and she has offered to meet up with me for a cuppa next week to help me with my development :)

It just proves how mediumship is passed on down the ages through family.

So does this prove that it is in our genes?
