I think you should cut down on forums. When I came here I only thought you had 500 posts because theres a little amount of posts in each forum but you merged some forums then your forum would look much more active and you wouldnt have to hurt your finger scrolling to the who's online box.

Re: Forums Suggestion
Hi Jaloko, thanks for your suggestions you aren't the first to comment on the size of the forum and though I take on board what you and others are saying the thing is this is two forums i've combined into one, the other thing is that spirituality is such a vast topic i'm trying to cover as many aspects of it as I possibly can, I don't want people coming in and not finding what they want and disappearing elsewhere, I've also found that when people do join they tend to stick to their chosen areas of interest, and while this means certain areas do look empty at the moment they will fill up in time as more and more people join.
I did actually remove a whole section the other night, and condensed it elsewhere and as the membership grows i'll prune back anything which is dead wood, but in the meantime I want to offer as much as I possibly can.
Please keep bringing suggestions to the table, all of you, it matters to me what you're thinking about this place.

Re: Forums Suggestion
Since I am working almost 12 hours a day, I don't have time to try and search through a condensed version of a site to try and find what I want. I normally spend (except on my days off) about 15 to 20 minutes in this site a day...IF I have enough to spend that much. I need to be able to find a main heading and drop into a thread that I want right away, not try to figure out what heading a particular subject might be under, and then search through a multitude of threads in an attempt to find it...and then getting ticked off because I picked the wrong header. I love the way this is set up. It makes it easy to find what I want or need.

Re: Forums Suggestion
This is the one thing that has always bugged me here was the inability to check all posts for a day. Instead of just when you last visited. I end up losing threads that I don't get to reply to when I leave the forum, and then can't find them again.

Re: Forums Suggestion
You can check, there is a link top right of the forum just below the log out button 'View all posts since last visit' click on that it will bring them up

Yea, but that only tells me the ones since I visited last. So if I visted today at 2, then again at 3. It won't tell me all the ones before 2 again. Just the ones from two to three. I would like to be able to see the ones before 2 again in case I wanted to reply to something.

Re: Forums Suggestion
IF you go to the bottom of the homepage on the right there is another search option there and you can pull up Today's active topics or even further back, however for some reason you can only access the first page of posts

Re: Forums Suggestion
I had the same problem and I'd never noticed the 'Today's Active Topics' either. It's very helpful, thanks Violet.
