I am sorry but this is NOT "solar flares"!!!!
He may be talking of something else but NOT 'solar flares'.
Solar flares are 'geomagnetic' just like the force field of a magnet. If a solar flare hits a satelite or other 'electronically' controlled item it will cause chaos!
They affect the magnetic fields around the North and South poles--this affects the jet stream which influences 'weather'.
The idea of 'flares' crashing into earth are a NO NO!
He is either talking about something else or talking garbage!!

Hmmm what about hitting the electrical grid? Could a solar flare or flares hit that? Would hitting the electrical grid cause havoc & mayhem?
