The word "Fathom"

2 nights ago I remember the word "fathom" come into my head randomly. I had never heard the word before from my knowledge, so i looked it up. Surprisingly, it was a word. One definition is a measurement unit, and the other means "understand with a lot of thinking". Perhaps the second definition means something? Or is it just a coincidence?

here's a word - brain tease, 'got thinking? please'. of brain cute little power. to me, fathom is a black sexy bathroom towel. just coincident.

Yes, that seems about right. I'm sorry if it wasn't a sign after all, I have a hard time recognizing them...

was a little general about a word, sticked to it - and so - turns out it got me 'game tuff reelin' - ie - for little starters i got a chunk on some word thing possible for me then, instead of reading a book and just made me thru the long fought study of a word after a word, to just stare at or something - ie - made me something else to just re-write the word mercy and later on to listen to it on good technology for ya'll.

"Fathom" (other than the distance meaning) simply means to understand something.

Do you have anyone in spirit with connections to the navy,sailing or something like that isnt it a sea word  something to do with the measurements you mentioned
