Dragonflies are a brilliant power guide. They have more duration and are stronger and more determined than butterflies, do you have a colour dragonfly in mind? Dragonflies tend to stay around one area they do not wander much, being very territorial they know everything about the air currents and the heat and the cool parts and are drawn to water so small rivers and streams. They fly very fast in the air currents. Air and water elements linked together, so emotions and mental expressions, words and arguments perhaps.

The Dragon fly can hold ones attention. It is hypnotic in its nature. It is also transformation like a butterfly.

Great information! We went down river yesterday and had a "set" land on me. 
Seen ones that actually looked to be 1/2 dragonfly 1/2 butterfly. Fat black wings with skinny iridescent green bodies. Beautiful!

I agree with the hypnotic in nature statement. I went tubing a couple of weeks ago. I had dragon flys landing on me left and right. At times there were two to three at a time. My boyfriend was knocking them off of him and looked at me funny when they would land on me and I would stare back and them and smile. Violet, it was just that when you mentioned being drawn to the blue dragonflies it made me think that was about spirit rather than the red ones which might have meant earth and physical?
