Forecast is that it gets "bad" next week and continues for another 2 months.

Hi Norseman it is much worse in your neck of the woods, i've heard Tuesday will be the worse day and it's in for two weeks, it will be awful if it's two months.

Yes, if it doesn't ease soon, the normal December/January weather pattern will reset and then we will be in trouble. Our normal protection, the North Sea, is letting us down this year. I am right on the coast and this snow is coming down from the Arctic.

We've hjad a bit but it's now snowing quite heavily fortunately I postponed my travel arrangements tomorrow, i'm gutted i'm not going but it was a wise decision.

Thanks Tom, it took me a while to get it right but worth the effort, it's not too 'in your face' as some of them are.

It might snow again tonight, but it shouldn't be as cold as last night, they said on the news this could last until the new year. Where did Autumn go....

Oh dear ! Sunday - not a cloud in the sky and the temperature is dropping like a stone. Here it comes [ again ! ]. Nothing has thawed from the last lot yet.

Hi Norseman, was watching the weather, it is hitting all the worst affected areas again. I notice they aren't giving a few days weather as normal, just telling us about the next day ie tomorrow, do they know something we don't? I'm hoping to make last week's cancelled trip on Tuesday, hopefully I can but a few flakes of snow seems to have amazing powers round here, it stops all traffic, the ice is appalling I have a relative who works at a hospital the number of fracture cases have gone through the roof.
Stay safe I know your area is one of the worst hit.

The thing that is tee-ing me off is that I cant get up on the moors. Roads are closed/impassable and this is the time when the moors are at their best. Completely silent under a blanket of snow - no people - my ideal, just me free to wander.

There can't be much left in the sky..seriously though I think this lot is worse than the last lot, it's a shame you can't get out and enjoy it, I love that too, pure white untouched snow it's like another world.

It seems the mild weekend they've promised us will not be too mild 6c will it be enough to melt all the snow? doubtful, Norseman I hope you're coping ok.

We had ONE day of Snow that is not GOOD news for us so far. November 19th it snowed. WE need to have some snow pack this year or NO ONE will be able to water lawns this Spring and Summmer to come.

That picture is so very peaceful I would be out walking in it. I LOVe snow. We had two weeks of -20 plus so not fond of that cold ness.
