Re: A hand or hands?
'Giving a hand' as in helping or maybe 'taking a hand' as in taking on a role.

Re: A hand or hands?
Has anyone ever seen a photo of clasped hands?
Years since I saw one and am very sure it was something to do with spiritualism.
There were also ornaments made in this pose.
I also remember seeing a photo a good few years ago,of materialised hands in a spiritualist book, covered by ectoplasm.
Apparently a photo was taken of them at time.
What the meaning means,I have no idea.

Hi Joanie, I had and still have some ornamental hands, I love them, that picture in the spiritualist book sounds intriguing.

Re: A hand or hands?
I'm going back quite a long time,Violet.
I was in my teens, and looking through a book owned by an aunt of mine who was a spiritualist. Wish I could remember the name of the book.
This picture absolutely fascinated me even though I didn't have a clue what materialisation was then.

Re: A hand or hands?
Funnily enough Joanie there were a couple of random books in our house when I was a kid weird when you consider non believing parent, mind you it was more 'mysteries of the unexplained' rather than Spiritualism, the part that got me the most was the spontaneous human combustion.

Re: A hand or hands?
I wonder if that is the same book I was reading years ago?
I seem to remember seeing a photo of combustion in a very old book.
Ugh,made me feel sick!
