Will we be truly 'free' in the afterlife? Empty Will we be truly 'free' in the afterlife?

We'll be free of our physical body, free of physical pain but do you think we'll still feel emotional pain,  are we really free if we still feel that?
How would we hold back from helping loved ones in the physical if we saw them suffering for example? If we have further work to do what is it? If we have ties to loved ones on the earth plane and work ties and links to reform with other deceased family members are we free or is it really another world like this where we have freedom but we are never completely free?

Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.

I think we would have no emotional pain, mostly because in a realm with such high vibrations, grief, depression and other negative emotions.
To be honest, we probably would not purely let our loved one's suffer. We'd probably help with our prescence being unknown. This may be happening to us right now! This will sound very mean, but if this is the only realm with physical and emotional pain, then the more you have of it, the more [unique] experiences you have.
And since boredom is a negative emotion, we shouldn't feel it, so we'd br amused with "not being free", with routines, family, etc.
Sorry with my sloppy response, buy I want to hear other opinions :)

Start by defining "free" or "freedom".  Exactly what does that term mean TO YOU?
IMO, we are always "free" but we do not believe it so we take on various limits (on earth or in the Afterlife) for whatever reasons we have at the time.  Pure, spirit or energy has NO limits on it but can appear to be limited or not-free just as an experience or an adventure.  Being completely free and unlimited might begin to feel boring or dull so YOU project a (limited) universe and then enter it as an apparently limited person (or thing) to have some adventures.   This is all YOU!

Be free here, and Now, let the afterlife if there is one look after itself.
