I feel quite sure at least 80 percent of the population has experienced the feeling of someone sitting on their bed when they can't actually see anyone at all, so many who talk about think that the things ee believe in is all nonsense, how many of us here have felt someone sitting on the bed, and how many people have you heard mention it, is this the easiest way for spirits to make us aware they are close?

Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.

Re: Someone sitting on the bed
I have felt someone sit on the bed, lay next to me, and put their arms around me... It certainly startled me.

Re: Someone sitting on the bed
I have this happen quite frequently when one of my cats that have passed over decides to come back for a visit. I have felt them jump on the bed, walk across it, knead the bed, and even felt them lay against my pillow.
It is so comforting to know that they are happy on the other side and wish to let me know that they are thinking about me.

Re: Someone sitting on the bed
I've never felt it... but I have started to wake up from sleep and felt what I thought was a giant cat laying across my chest. Our cats have long since passed away, and this was closer to the size of a dog and very uncomfortable.
Usually if I experience any feelings of being visited it's while I'm asleep and dreaming that I'm looking around or getting up out of my body. I never really know what to think of it, because a high-strung mind like mine is prone to strange dreams in the first place.

Re: Someone sitting on the bed
I was sitting on the sofa one night with my feet up when I felt a spirit sit on my ankles. I presumed they thought they were sitting on the seat cushion. The people around me at the time could also see where the seat had sunk down due to the additional weight from the spirit. I wouldn't say this is the easiest way to make us aware of their presence, however I feel there must have been some reason for my experience I just never figured it out.

The big cat across your chest, means you need to get some things off your chest.

I appreciate that you're trying to be helpful, but there's a saying that goes "Sometimes a rock is just a rock." I'm also perfectly capable of deciding for myself what events mean and how I should interpret them.
