Cloning -and if it works?

There has been a lot of debates that I've seen on the topic of cloning humans. On the matter, a person performing cloning techniques has managed to create a 64-celled embryo. Here's the catch. It was out of one person. That one person has had an egg and an electric shock - no outside contributor - to nearly clone themselves.

Theoretically thinking, if a person produces a clone of himself from only himself, would it not be himself? And if so, who's spirit would inhabit the clone? Technically the producer, you would think, though a soul can not split in to two... Or can it? Lol just a paradox that thought of when viewing the topic

Cloning is just one way of reproduction, does it work? I am certain it is practiced on this planet as we speak.

The one they call the Grays, extraterrestrial race, is a cloned race. Actually it is manufactured.
It depends how you clone, you can mess around in the DNA structure, similar what Monsanto does with plants at the moment, and you can create all sort of thing, like an army of psychopaths. If one of the world leader clones himself, and he is in service to self, the original soul will control the second and the third copy as well.

So do you see a difference between cloning a pet or sheep like 'Dolly' the famous cloned sheep and a human?  Why? There is still growth and the process of development and then birth?

Personally I don't agree with Detlef's ideas, it all depends on what one thinks is the soul and spirit, how it is formed and of course when.
