How to find animal guides?

How would I find my power animal/guide through meditations?

I don't have any method, but I recommend just meditating with an open mind, and if you are meant to feel or see an animal guide, you will. But if you are meant to feel or see something else, then you will see that. Just trust what comes for you personally.

I do, often when I find when I'm meditating that I find myself in a different location, sometimes I feel like that I am somewhere im nature, like one time it felt like I was in a forest at once, I had no vision of it, I could only sense it. Sensing is my stronger clair, which is why I wouldn't want to try using a visualiseation to try and find my guide because my clear seeing ia my least dominant.

Within your meditation invite your power animal to come forward/join you, ask it to impress on you what kind of animal it is, be patient and try to use all of your senses.

Sensing is good, when I sensed the deer with me recently, I was driving, so much better than seeing in that situation . But perhaps because we are more used to recognising things through sight, it can take longer to sense animals than to see them. I imagine that the animals are there in your visions and they will become evident.

This is very good. If anyone needs a guided meditation to do this there are several that are really good on Youtube, just do a search for "shamanic journey power animal".

Mine..... found me.

When I was about 8 years old,
a black snake crawled up in my lap while I was trying to sleep under a tree...........

The snaked scared the 'living day lights out of me' but decades later, we became friends and he/she joined my Totem.

It took a long time for this dense human to put the clues together to find my power animal which is deer. Over the course of a few years, I've seen deer on the road, crossing the road, a good looking buck running beside the highway in the ditch, a huge megaherd of deer in a neighbour's field and even chased out a small herd out of the garden. A few days after I chased them out, it finally dawned on me that deer is my animal. Now we have a doe that hangs around the house and barn so we named her Jane Doe.

I had a Mountain Lion come into my camp and squeak and chirp at me.

Mine is sharp shinned hawk. He followed my car, eye level as I was driving. This has happened three times.
