Favourite Method of Divination?

Which do you prefer cards, dice, crystal ball, pendulum etc ?

I change with the wind as I get new toys, oops tools I mean Tarot for me is a wonderful but for some people the reputation it has means that they prefer other cards, Angel cards or an Oracle. I adore the Avalon Oracle, it is beautiful and links into my deepest thoughts, I also love the Faeries Oracle by Brian Froud, a great fun deck. I nearly always carry a pendy in my bag and use it for everything under the sun from choosing which road to take to finding the best sandwich bar lol. I also love lying on my back and cloud reading outside on a sunny day.

I've got Brian Froud's deck too, it's beautiful isn't it? I'd never have thought of carrying my pendulum around but then I don't use it often enough to warrant that I like looking at the clouds too.

Well you can't use a pendulum if it's sitting at home and not in your pocket lol hehee. I bought one and puut it in my handbag and it lives there now. Amazing how many times I get it out and use it. Seems that dowsing is ok nowadays and I dont get wierd looks just lots of questions asking what I can dowse for :)

I prefer the tarot & i keep having a try with tea leaves & seem to be able to see quite a bit in them.
I like the pendulem if you want a yes/no answer and i have had a crystal ball for years but find it quite hard to use only getting sketchy images.

i guess cards, tarot and oracel cards. but i love to try new things. i do believe life around us gives us messages all the time so i keep open to whatever happens around, would that count as a method of divination?

Hi Shayn I'd say that was more spiritual than divinination

had a crystal ball for years but find it quite hard to use only getting sketchy images.

Hi Fairyway, the crystal ball is notoriously difficult to use, imo you are doing exceedingly well if you are getting sketchy images, i've got a ball and it's very rare I get anything, others I know really struggle with this too.

Seems that dowsing is ok nowadays and I dont get wierd looks just lots of questions asking what I can dowse for :)

Hi Crystal yes people are far more open to such things than they were even just a few years ago.

My favorite method of divination is oracle cards.

I have around 90 Tarot decks, 70 Oracle Decks, and half a dozen Lenormand decks. In the past few years I have found myself really drawn to Oracle decks. The Wisdom of the House of Night Oracle deck is probably my favorite. I don't have too many dislikes, although unillustrated pips are a turn off for me. I am at the point now where I really research before I buy and that helps a lot.

That's really interesting, usually people prefer Tarot over oracles or vice versa, you seem to have compromised and like both? Which are your favourite Tarot decks then? I wonder if they are oracle like or traditional?

Recently I purchased the Chrysalis Tarot and I think it is so beautiful. For some time, I used the Fenestra  so I feel comfortable with it. My Tarot collection is basically RWS based.  

As of late I have been interested in Tarot decks that are a bit different like the Steampunk Tarot and Sherlock Holmes Tarot, both by John Matthews. I really like decks that have detailed guidebooks so I can see what the creator and/or artist intended and their views on the cards.

Signs
Ouija
Pendulum
Crystal ball


I have Tarot cards and Oracle cards but I haven't used them much. I don't find them very useful as the others.
