Does it matter what crystal your pendulum is? Do you get better results with a certain crystal? Will a makeshift crystal pendulum be as good as an actual pendulum?

Re: Pendulums
If the makeshift one is one you've made yourself then i'd say it will be better than any you can buy as you've made it. And it is an actual pendulum

i've used a clear quartz pendulum and an amethyst pendulum, both as sporadic as the other

Yes, it is a pendulum, and I did word that wrong.. I was referring to say taking a crystal, wraping some twine around it and using it.

Because you are crafting it yourself, for you to use , it wouldn't matter if it was a piece of coal bound with a fishing line, somewhere in that creation you have put your love and energies into it which will make it special to you.

Re: Pendulums
Some people use a needle on a thread, or a button - anything that has some weight and can be suspended by a line of some sort works. I tried using a glass crystal thing that you can hang in your window to refract the light, but I had no luck until I got my amethyst one. It's purdy

Re: Pendulums
I didn't say it wouldn't work.. as I've used them before... But the question was does it matter? Will it affect the pendulum? Does the crystal make a difference?

Which did you prefer out of the two radiclol and have you considered making your own?

Re: Pendulums
I've used a makeshift quartz pendulum as well as an lemurian seed crystal actual pendulum. I've only ever really used them asking questions with my guides. So it's hard to gauge how accurate they are. Which is why I created the exercise thread.
I have just recently used it with another person and it was faily accurate getting 4 out of 5 questions right.

Re: Pendulums
That's really good four out of five, i'm not very good with the pendulum.

Re: Pendulums
I wouldn't think the crystal used makes any difference, the pendulum I use doesn't have a crystal and I think it works better than a crystal one that I do have.

Re: Pendulums
Depends I suppose on if you're resonating with a particular crystal at that time or not. They're just little amplifiers and each helps out a certain vibration... some are more finicky than others... so perhaps the one you have doesn't work well with you just now but another one might, y'know?
Moot point, anyway... when it comes to pendulums (or anything for that matter) always go with what works for you :)

Re: Pendulums
I have a couple of pendulums... like I mentioned earlier in this thread, I have a pendulum with an amethyst which seems to like to answer lovey-dovey questions. I also have a wooden pendulum, which I enjoy using quite a lot.
What kinds of pendulums do you have?

Re: Pendulums
sorry, I missed your earlier post
I have a moonstone pendulum and a plain metal one, pointed
maybe I need an amethyst one to answer 'lovey-dovey' questions

Re: Pendulums
Moonstone is nice, I like them.
Amethyst might not work for you for such questions... but I bet any pink or purple crystal would be a good place to start experimenting :)

why wouldn't amethyst work for me for those questions ?Kaere wrote:

Re: Pendulums
Of course it might work for you.
I was trying to explain why some crystals seem to resonate and work for some and not for others. Because everyone has a different vibration and the various crystals will react in different ways to that vibration.
Everybody's experience with crystals, whether on pendulums or not, is unique.
