The 'silver cord'

Many are frightened of astral travel as they fear they will not get back into their body, as I understand it we remain 'attached' by a silver cord, what are your thoughts?

I have to agree as it is often that glimmer of hope which will stop someone from giving up on their own life and release them from the anguish of grief and may even start a person on their own development of the spirit and soul.

The "color" of the rope represents the endurance of the rope really , using astral travel for longer and farther could wear it off

In my opinion the cord is silver i have seen it stretched and finally break when the person passes over,
