Why do you think humans develop such a strong bond with animals? Is it a need to possess or own another living creature, is it love, friendship/companionship? What are your thoughts?

Re: Humans & Animals
I think their are many reasons that people bond with animals. I agree that many people have a desire to possess, but many, like me enjoy the companionship that they provide. They are my children...and they know it. They are a part of me, just as I am a part of them. There is no possession or ownership...just a bond of love.

I'm the same I love them to bits, even when they're driving me mad, there is one in particular I seem to have a connection with and strangely it's exactly the kind of cat i've never felt drawn to before

Re: Humans & Animals
All my animals are my furry babies, even the fish (I really need to clean that tank ) I'm responsible for their welfare and upkeep and tbh especially with my puppy monster we all just seem to click. I don't own them they own me lol
