Humans without any feelings.

This sounds strange but do you believe we have people walking among us without conscience or feelings?

They act normally but within themselves,they are devoid of feelings.

What got me thinking of this was a very interesting book I have been reading.

It was actually a mystery story but featured a man who was utterly devoid of any kindness at all.

All kindness he showed to the outside world was like a cloak which covered him.

But if someone upset him unwittingly,he would act against them and never forgive.

He would track that person down to the ends of the earth until his revenge was complete.

Do you think we have people on earth like this?

Definately Joanie, people who are cruel to animals or people for a start, I think there is some chromosome or something missing with these people, some believe it's the circumstances they are raised in which creates this type of person but i'm not so sure, I think it's deeper than that, after all there are many who have terrible early years and turn out more compassionate because of that.

Yes, yes and yes again. These type of people are normally the ones who are the trouble causers, murderer's, and the like. I have heard it said they don't exhibit signs of compassion - that the majority of 'normal' people do - which enables them to carry out such horrific and inhumane crimes on other life forms around the world.
In a way, this lack of, makes me wonder whether we 'normal' people should judge them, for there is no way we can ever have, or gain an understanding of their behaviours. Although I may spend sometime pondering on this, I do realise I am not able to always apply it when terrible events happen.

I was reading an article the other day about this....and they are saying now that these people seem to be born with that brain wiring....that makes them into a person who cannot feel love, empathy or emotion or remorse. (Some say they are like a psychopath)

There are studies about children and babies ...it is a bit complicated...

but a normal baby will always make eye contact with their mother and that is how they become fully wired to feel love and empathy because they learn from the eye contact link...but some babies cannot make eye contact with their mothers gaze and these children turn out to be just that type of person....... The critical factor is that these children cannot see love or cannot feel empathy and tend not to ever make eye contact....they call it a 'cold' child and these children can come from loving families.

Then there is a 'hot' child...a child that may have grown up in a bad situation but shows anger and frustration and rebellion and may not turn out great but at least this child is capable of lots of emotion and empathy and knows about remorse and pain.

It's sad... but maybe we are born to be who we are and that's that.

Lots of explanations there and I agree with most of them.

Not about sure family life bit as my husband was brought up in a household which had a strict father,and it never affected him.

He used to receive the worst of the beatings but he grew up to be a loving husband and kind father.

I believe as has been suggested that the wiring in the brain is not quite correct.

There is no compassion in these people,what concern they show is a mask which they can turn on and off at will.

Some years back I read a very interesting article on
predators.To be a successful predator cruelty seems to
be part of the make up .This of course applies to man.
We are superb predators and killers. Civilization is just
a veneer which disappears very quickly when the opportunity
arises to be predatory.The genes are there and so are the
instincts.

Predators to me are a frightening species.
More towards women in general than a man.
Though I do believe that the male gender has had their share of female predators in their time.

I remember reading a case several years ago in which the case was taken to court involving a female predator who pestered a man for several years until he was at breakdown situation.

She received a warning at first then imprisonment as a final resort.

Many do Joanie, it's a fallacy that all abused children will go on to abuse.

I think being predatory can be instinctual, but it's the 'cross wiring' (for want of a better way to word it) that drives someone to cross the line and go and do it imo

I wonder if behaviour concerning the brain,will ever be corrected?
What a difference that would make to anyone who has any kind of behaviour problems.

Then again,i would hate to see the population walking around like robots.

The thought which came into my mind,Sk was dual personality.
I realise you do not mean that but the two souls could possibly be the different aspects of our personality.
Would you be suggesting something like that?

Would it be possible that one soul takes over more than the other?

But then again,the brain,I assume rules our thinking,does it not?

idea of a duality which functions as an irreducible
