What Deck Are You Using Now?

As fickle as I am, I've already dumped the World Spirit for my Morgan Press Aquarian.


What deck are you using now? *for those with multiples*

Tarot of the Sidhe speaks to me the most right now. Not currently on the market for a new deck. I also use Archetype cards for help with writing.

The one I have found I have been reaching for more lately is "The Psychic Tarot" John Holland.

Psychic tarot looks intriguing! I've added it to my wishlist.

It is an interesting deck but if one is to use it the full way its designed for then its pretty complex. It breaks down into sections. The main arcana, the minor arcana, physica, emotions, mental, spirit and chakra.

That adds to the element ye have to learn, and that can get pretty complex. The guide book with them is good its easy to follow and the messages are good for the cards.

I got it for the "intuitions" readings that I can work with them. The imeage and the word on the card opens that door to give the person getting the reading an idea of how I am connectin the information then the border colour expecially "emotion" shows them where the issue lies. I have had great success with them.

Only down side I have to them is the finish on them makes them very prone to the finger prints.

I'm enjoying the Arthurian tarot by Caitlin and John Matthews, it's so rich and deep! I've ordered the coursebook for it but the seller sent it to me by ship...could be weeks before it arrives

I've been using three favorites for awhile now: The Celtic by Helena Patterson and Courtney Davis, Sirian Starseed and Faery Wicca. Oracles that I'm using are The Faeries oracle & the Fairy Ring deck.

Currently I am using Colette Baron-Reid's four oracle decks.

hope it's all right to revive this seemingly old thread but I wanted to ask if anyone knows anything about the tarot deck I have.

First, it came via an ebay seller, no box, no instructions, no nothing but the information that the cards date from around the 1930s and came from Canada.

They are nothing more than a series of random black and white photographs. A quick summary:
a boy crying
a girl blowing out candles on a cake
someone being wrapped head to foot in bandages
someone hiding behind a mask
a game of football
a car going through a flood
a castle
Mahatma Gandhi
a man pouring water

that's a random selection of the cards. I 'read' them by the way they fall when dealt out, usually one card for NOW and six cards, either three for past and three for future, or all six for the future. No one has 'told' me to read them like this, it came naturally. The cards have black backs with a pentagram in white.

I have to say they are surprisingly accurate. One person asked - long distance via email - if her husband was faithful to her. The NOW card I drew was a man lying on the grass stroking a cat.
I had to be careful how I phrased my response and how I need to phrase it here but it said he was getting enough - at home...

I have had to stop doing tarot readings, though. I was getting commissions for readings through a site which advertised them for me but - here is a quick summary of some of the questions I got:

when will I win the Texas Thunderball
will I win Miss Chinese/Toronto this year
Should I go to Hong Kong and become a dancer and famous singer
can you tell me when I will meet my soul mate, what race will he be, what career will he have, where will we live -
Will my hair be damaged if I keep using straighteners.

The question which made me decide not to read for the site any more was:
can I make a living playing professional poker.

All this to me is an offence to the tarot, which is for guidance, not prophesy and an offence to any medium trying to help others on their pathway. It is too draining to try and concoct an answer that will not immediately result in an email saying 'you didn't answer the question...'

But I would like to find out more about these strange cards if I can. Someone who said he has over 200 tarot decks has never heard of them. I am wondering if they are truly unique. Any ideas, friends?

Currently back to using the Wildwood Tarot. I'd misplaced it a few weeks ago when I put it away as I wasn't using it much after The Moonchild Tarot came in.
Then I needed it for a reading and couldn't for the love of god remember where I'd put it?!
It took me some time, and tenacity, but then I found it!!

Ascension Cards by Diana Cooper. 

And if I had a dream, the Dream Reading Oracle by Rose Inserra.

Both decks came in yesterday so I'm totally happy exploring them.
I did work with the dream deck on the recurring dreams I've head of late. VERY insightful and helpful!
