Confusion over spirit animals

Hello!

I am a bit confused as to where you see these spirit animals? Is it when you meditate, when will it come - I've only started meditating (past three months or so) I don't do it every day and I've only ever seen green charka and yellow geometric sightings.

Will anything pop up in front of me that would scare me? x

Hi Stephanie, You mean like power animals or 'totem' animals? I find these most often appear in meditation rather than simply popping up. I also found that the thought of one 'popping up' to be more frightening than one actually appearing, at the beginning of your meditation ask that ANY spirit which comes through to you does so gently.There are no guarantees that seeing say a tiger or a snake will not scare you a little, after all we'd likely be scared if we came face to face with the living creatures, you could ask them to appear in the distance to start with, remember you are in control of your meditations at all times.

It does scare me a little, eeek! Will have to face it and get on with it.

Sometimes I see.... more than usual.....a certain type of animal in the world around me...and it grabs my attention.
eg.there has been a few snakes around lately.
When this happens, I start looking for the 'message' that the animal shows me. It could be I need to adopt more of the qualities of that animal in my life at that time.

There is a lot of confusion over spirit animal guides and power and animal totems. A totem is a symbol, a fetish, and it encompasses the medicine of the power animal clan it represents. You may carry a totem of an owl say to give you more wisdom and clarity or the totem of a horse for strength and stamina. Or you may paint them or carve them. They won't suddenly pop up and scare you in a meditation unless you ask, it is more something you choose to draw upon when you are in need.
An animal spirit guide is something that has chosen to come to you and work with you, they are individual and recognisable and return time after time.
The native american clans believe that we all have 9 power animals, one for each direction and they help us in difficult times :)

Please don't worry about your meditation, if you are using the proper grounding protection techniques then you will be fine.

How long will it take for me to see what my current spirit animal is?
