India sound great...eyeopen wrote:I was born In the UK, Ive been there several times, you should go there if you ever get time. I use to go to villages more as my Dad grew up there but now we go to the city. I kinda had more fun in the villages so different, the people are great, but its all changed now.
I would love to snow never got the chance, doesnt snow enough here to skate, fortunately, lol.
Hows isit on your Island? isit small? can you skate back to the mainland when it gets icey? or isit too far?
What a stunningly beautiful place Mr Whitemore! I know this is a long shot with Canada being enormous, but sometimes it's a small world too ...... have you heard of Jy Chiperzak? He's in Ontario and is a writer, film maker and environmentalist. Back in the early 1900's my Dad's aunt and uncle went to live in Canada. After the aunt died my Dad lost touch with the family.
A few years ago my Dad said he would love to know what happened to the family and so I started an Internet search. I managed to contact the aunt's sister in law which, with the little information I had, was quite amazing. She was very elderly and told me family names, but did not know anyone's whereabouts.
I'd put the details of the family I was searching for on a genealogy site but wasn't expecting to be able to contact anyone else. Then a couple of years ago I received an email from Jy Chiperzak who is related to my Dad's aunt. He had been doing his family tree and came across my entry on the genealogy site. We've been able to swop family photo's and information.
I am fascinated that this long lost distant relative is into the spiritual side of life - like my family!
very cool Cassy finding a long lost relative and re- connecting with family !Cassy7 wrote:

Oh sorry my bad, I searched it and it came up with a zoom into Rustico bay, Prince Edward National Park, and its connected, so I wondered if it was classed as an Island, lol. Like the Sandbanks, but then I just searched again and well I found that what I saw was zoomed right into your Island, It is an Island.
That is nice, I would love the drive. If it were any bigger itd be the size of england, lol.
