Radio coming on by itself...

Wasnt sure where to post this...

Wednesday afternoon was sweeping upstairs.  Was headed out of my bedroom when the radio came on.  This is actually an alarm clock. It is old so at first I brushed it off.   Hadnt turned on the rest of the afternoon.  Was laying down for bed..dumb thing comes on again. At least 4 more times. I quit counting by that point and said ok, enough..trying to get some sleep. (wasnt sure what else to do at that point.  Needed it to wake us in the morning so shutting it off was out of the question.  Hubby came to bed shortly after and the dumb thing came on with him there.  He brushed it off and by this point I figured that I could turn it down all the way and still have the alarm function able to sound in the morning.

Now....to me, if this was just a faulty radio.  Why did it only sound with me in the room? Never came on at random, not once when at one point it came on 4 times within 10-15 minutes.  Im not saying ghostly, exactly.  My first thoughts were energy and maybe I conducted it some how?  Not the first time for this.  Any thoughts?

Right first of all let's look at the physical side.   You mentioned when you got into bed or came into the bedroom,the radio switched on,ok?
It went off.    Your hubby came up to bed and it switched on...again.

Would it have been movement that triggered the radio?   How near to the bed is it?
Even footsteps can shake a floor.

Otherwise I think you have a psychic radio........
If my hubby is here he would say 'Here gal,give it to me and I'll check it for you'.
 Electricity too can affect the body.   
Hubby worked for the electricity company.     He was working one day at home. Fixing something electric.   I was sitting across the room.  He shouted 'Look!'.
There he was with a light bulb in his hand,finger pressed into the electric socket and the bulb went on!    After 50 years of working with electricity he was alive with it.

Anyway,test your radio in different ways by sitting on the bed or walking into the room.    
But you could be correct,energy was high.....

I dont recall really.  Was trying to keep my whits about me more than anything.
It was inaudible.   Like between two stations sort of thing.  The only thing that bothered me about it was that when I tried to tune it in, it got worse and sounded like one of those tools that they use on the paranormal hunts.

Didnt come on at all last night, gladly.
I realized that this morning after discovering that hubby turned the volume back up before going to bed.

Movement wouldnt of been the cause. I wouldnt think so anyway. Its like a push button on a phone. 
Its fairly close to the bed but the first time it sounded I was across the room.

If that happens again,ask who is turning the radio on.     Do you know anyone who particularly liked listening to the radio?    An old lady?   Small with grey hair but was dark haired when young ?   Vivid blue eyes?

I think someone is preparing you for upcoming communication, spiritually speaking.

now there's a thought which fits in nicely with Violet's explanation.... 

 a frequency, sound wave transmission, telepathic kind of thing maybe ? though sent thru the radio

makes one almost want to hear it again and request the transmitter, to send a clearer transmission ?

you know, this has the beginnings of a great mystery story

she can go to youtube and pick the frequency out.........and we can go from there.

I wonder does she have a hissing sound in her ear...or subtle ring

she might need your help on figuring out how to pick the frequency out on youtube, like what to ask for in searching for it ?.... I know I would need help

Spirit you describe almost to the tee of my husbands granmother, only she didnt have blue eyes. I think they were brown. Had the radio playing in the kitchen alot.
It sort of creeps me out too, Violets idea is much better.  lol.
Im not too certain I want to conjour anything back up, really.  If it happens again I might see about getting something from it telepathically but I think thats about as far as Ill take it.
I can try you tube soon, low on data at the moment.  As for ringing, I get that at random..mostly everyday.
I think I already have that type of file.  Its not like it.  I will have to do a blit of research to see if I can find it.  There was talking, but it was commercials between too staions Im pretty sure.  But just the one time I tried to tune it in..it did some wacky vibrational sound thing.

I have a feeling that there isnt any big mystery going on here.  I think its just a mix of energy.  Like a power surge of sorts.  My kids and my husband all have some sort of something.  Something has triggered it (spiritual communication as Violet mentioned..makes sense)  Just let it play out I suppose.  

Thanks all for your suggestions.  I plan to google around a bit to see if I can find something.

hmmm, maybe it is your husband's grandmother ?

maybe so.  I could try going in that direction if theres a next time.

Little to report on it, tho.  Friday night it was making noises, these different. (what I thought at first was the stool that it sits on being teetered on uneven floor boards, is actually the radio noise itself.) Like little clicks.  It can best be described as "simmering" Compare it to a pot of water about to come to full boil, I suppose. 
When it went off blaring before it seemed to have been purposely turned on by the buttons, even though it was already on it seems.  :huh:Volumes been up all day and no outbursts.
