I'm a bit worried about our fellow members in the USA.

Hoping all members over there are safe.

I see the bad weather is approaching New York and that worries me.

Over the years, once the bad weather strikes there,we usually get the tail end of here in the UK.

    How's weather in Australia,Detlef?

    Any problems there?

I can't speak for members outside of the Pacific Northwest and California, but here on the Far West Coast we are fine.  Bad weather, but no tornadoes or tragic weather like they just had in the Mid-West.

Thanks for your concern. Alls well here.   Strong storms passed our area leaving no significant damage that I know of, as of this am.
Skies sure are spooky out on the farm. I dont look out the windows much.  We can hear the sirens from town if something is close by.  So usually until then I try not to think about it.  We have our family plan if necessary.
Beautiful out there today but still very windy.

I seem to remember the world saying a good while back, the weather all over was getting warmer which was true but the winters are now turning to heavy gusts of rain and wind.

Isn't there something called El Nino and Nina ? to do with the weather and the global warming effects ?

    http://www.pmel.noaa.gov/tao/elnino/el-nino-story.html

These two pages are from NOAA...National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration...so the information is very reliable.

Ah,now I understand.    I've saved those to read later, had a quick glance through it and it bears what I said.    Weather patterns are changing.
We were lucky to get heat waves back in the 1950's.    if the temps went over the 60 degrees, that was a terrific heat wave!      We could count on about that happening once or twice a year.    Look at Australia.    Terrific heat waves are getting hotter.    Went off shopping one day a few years ago in MacKay,had to turn back because it was just too hot to walk to the end of the street. Sun hat, shorts and summer top on....Whew!

No problem.    I would have if I had known how to.....there was one there in a parking lot.    The snow was so deep the cars were completely covered so the workmen had just cut around the cars so each car looked as if it was in a pit!
    It's own little box......:giggles:

I was given a bit of information a few years back that seem to be correct here in the states.  Weather has a 17 month cycle.  Seems to have been pretty right on since I found this out.  Wonder about you all elsewhere?
