Communication with a Loved One.

The thought came to me a couple of minutes ago.    Right out of the blue.
Another member's post gave me the idea of communication with my late husband.

I have always received 'thoughts' from him of small events in my life and from the past when he was here with me in the physical.

Like what to do when I haven't been sure of how to handle a problem.

I first heard his voice two weeks after he passed to spirit.   Have never heard it since until a short while ago I realised instead of hearing his voice I was 'hearing' his thoughts.   Strange thoughts that were not mine...

Discussing the spirit world,from another site,I was shown different scenes of what the spirit world looks like.   

Rather vague but interesting.    Rather misty scenes but an idea what to expect.
The colours of the sea and the grass and scenes I have never seen before.

Not always clear but also a sense of peace that we will feel when our time comes.

I am going to try again to see if any further communication will come through.

Joan, make a special effort on the eve of October 31st when the veil is thinnest.

You might want to light a white candle aswell. It represents spirit and protection. Also, As the above user said about the veil. Its getting thinner and thinner by each day that goes by. I have a little exercise for you joanie.

Exercise.

1: get yourself nice and relaxed, sit or lie down, but don't get to realxed! I don't want you to fall asleep.

2:Focus on the breath, as you do that, just you will know your mind begins to clear.

3: ask him to step forward and ask him to provide you with all of your senses.

4. Notice any feelings, sights, hearings. And note them down and see what they mean to you.

If you don't get any, then keep trying until you get it.

Will try it on that date,Norseman.    Will put a note on the calendar.    Not saying I will get anything but will have a go.

I am not very good at keeping my mind still.   One of those jittery people whose mind goes back and forward.
Why I am useless at meditation.   

I find this happens more when, believe it or not,I am watching television or engrossed in an interesting book.   Which I have at the moment.

Will keep this topic here until I 'feel' hubby is around.     
That may not be when I require his Majesty's presence......

Voices, there are other ways than just meditation to communicate with your husband. There is also automatic writing, takes a bit of practice but it is another option and you can do it any time day or night. You need to get into the right frame of mind, but it isn't difficult to do so .

Don't go!    I love a little humour in any topic,it helps to lighten the atmosphere and your posts on other methods of communication are good.   That is what I want to hear.

I use video cameras...........to film all my adventures....like ghostbustin and ouija encounters.

I would record sound around yourself a lot if I were you

but only video spirit encounters ok?

other encounters is just not right

I don't have a video camera...... 

Will try tuning into him when it is quiet.....

Voices, any chance you have a tape recorder, one of those with a cassette ?
If so, you could turn it on at night before you go to sleep, ask your husband if he is there and wants to say anything and check the recorder in the morning ?

I haven't tried this, but I have heard people do something similar (not the asking for a message part exactly). Just an idea to try....

Always had a recorder handy but got rid of it a few years ago....
Who do spirit always come through when we least expect it?

Be patient,Joan......don't rush,he has never let me down before.

One thing about my Ken....always there when I needed him....
