Old Time Members?

First topic message reminder :

No,I don't mean age related.....  

I mean all of those members who used to frequent this site.   Where have they gone?   Such as Gilly and 1antique?    Many more as well,seem to have disappeared.

Mostly over the years but our membership list seems to have diminished.
 Please come back to Violet's site and POST......
We miss you.....

Well I'm still about if not as much as I used to be, that is because to be quite honest I forget to come on, no other reason.

For the rest of the members,Wizzard used to be an Amin., on an old site which closed down.
He was like a Sargeant Major on site....The Admin who ran the show!

Bless you,Violet....please don't ever let a member called Whizz (as we nicknamed him) on here.  He was a great guy but just about had members saluting him everytime he arrived on site! Bless his little heart....

If my memory serves me adequately, he was a website megalomaniac and as he made it effectively his own site, he did what he wanted. But if memory again serves me, he wasn't the owner....

Members, of course, might have to leave - and did leave - because of such an approach to administration/moderation.  I have total confidence, though, that Violet is so experienced and self-confident that she would never allow a member to dictate how other members behave or post on her website.

He wasn't the owner,he was a part owner of the site but he took the title of manager.     It was a private site.
I am no way coming down on Violet,that has never come into it at all!
Violet runs a great site!   My post was ment to be on the comical side....not taking the mick out of Violet at all...
Underneath that strict veneer of Whizz,was a heart of gold.    He kept that site clean and anyone who put one foot wrong was off the site...
The only reason the site closed down was lack of funds even though we all offered to contribute.
No member that I know of left that site because of dislike of the site.

 Yes. Life called me a way on a long wandering mode so I had to go hunt for something that I wasn't sure what I was looking for. still didn't find it but oh well. Life is better than what it was when I first joined here so that's good. Just times can be tough it being the new year and all. :) But glad to be back, blessings and love x]

I think you will have to contact Violet.    I changed mine a while ago and am sure I had to get in touch with Violet.    Pm her and check first....

Well,haven't we done well?   Just checking the number of members now from what we had a while ago.....Nearly doubled in numbers.

But so many of  the members from long ago are missing....
I miss them.....please come back....

What an interesting thread that evolves from a very simple and honest op to a debate then a fisticuffs and then back to  the original intention, brilliant :)
