Your Past Life.

Even if you can't remember about a past life what kind of life do you feel you may have lived?

I've had various different visions of past lives. One that stands out the most was when I was feeding my niece, I suddenly had a vision of being a mother in ancient Rome. I've always been drawn to that time period, so perhaps it was something.

Also, now that you mention it, I've always had strong feeling that I was a priestess of my matron goddess sometime long ago...

You're very lucky to be able to remember your past lives....Though I do get thoughts in my mind not referring to any incident i can remember in this life but other memories that don't make sense....

It seems to be quite widely believed that a lot of phobias stem from a previous life if that's the case perhaps looking at phobias could offer clues?

You have just reminded me of an instant given by a girl I worked with,Violet.

She had a son of approx. 12 years at the time.

He was always terrified of fire! Would not go near any ordinary sort of fire like a bonfire on Guy Fawkes day.

Same as locking front door when they went out! It had to be Locked!

All his parents could think of....was it a past life?

The only life that matters is the one we are in right now.
Looking back only hinders our progress.
It can be helpful in understanding, yes, but dwelling in it equals hindrance.
And no, I did not have any life times here on this planet.

Yes many, I developed in the galaxy you can see in my avatar, the Southern Pinwheel.
But had incarnations through out the verse.
I was always told, knowing any details would only hinder my work here.

I can understand that.....keep on going... 

I cant recall any past lives of mine for certain but was told in a reading that I am from Greek and Roman times.  Funny thing..my daughter showed me an article yesterday about feet shape and where your ancestry came from.  Was spot on..one foot for Greek, one foot for Roman ancestry.   Shuddap, yes.... my feet are different!

Its been said that if you have a strong desire for another time period that it very well is part of a past life memory surfacing.  As a backup...try the feet comparison..LOL!

the only time I feel close to is the Victorian age.

I loved Charles Dicken's book about this period....

I love the Victorian clothes....
I love their Xmas pictures.....

I feel part of the scenery...

I want to go back...

Then why don't you try in your next meditation?

I'm a bit afraid of meditations....that I cannot return...

But .... one day .... may not you ascend in meditation .... maybe not to return but to move on higher into an even more beautiful realm?

That I would like,to see mayflower....I have seen the spirit world in dreams with most beautiful colours and scenery....the physical world cannot compete with there.

Two types of dreams,mayflow.
Ordinary dreams which I get from the day's events....those dreams are common.

Dreams which come from Spirit....sometimes with messages and some I see spirit clearly.....usually my husband or other relatives....unfortunately I don't see them when I am awake.... 

I didn't feel one way or the other about past lives but in my twenties I had a couple of interesting experiences that made me wonder. I wasn't in the habit of meditating or pursuing any kind of spiritual practice other than prayer at the time. I certainly wasn't reading spiritual texts.

My experiences were like  lucid dreams in some respects and occurred just before waking, interrupting the dreams I was having at the time.  They also entailed a strange "thick", "slow" atmosphere that doesn't really translate readily into words and unlike any dream I've ever had.  In one I was a blonde boy of a slight build, about 14 years of age. I lived somewhere in what is now Germany and I stood outside a simple dwelling with my father from this life who was my father then, my younger sister, who was a brother, my uncle and a girl cousin, who were my uncle and  was a boy cousin respectively. We were going hunting with muskets and we had large shaggy hounds with us.  I knew I was the boy and experienced the scene simultaneously as him and in third person.  Around the time I had the dream, my husband believed I was talking German in my sleep.  I don't speak German.

In the second experience I was a tall Italian woman, walking through my herb garden with my current husband, who was a German in this life. He had a large red bushy beard and we were arguing. It appears I had been unwell and an associate or relative (who correlated with someone we worked with at that time in our lives) had taken my daughter, Clara, into her care. The daughter in that life was my first son in this. I wanted my daughter back but the woman who had her was using delaying tactics and I was angry with my husband who didn't appear to be taking my side as I felt he should.

I don't know if these are genuine past life memories but it felt that way.

How is it that in all past lives we come to the conclusion that we were someone famous and important,why not as a slave or normal farm worker,or just an average person!

One of my elder brothers is doing a family tree,he's been at it for years,he has got as far back as the 17th century Britain,all my ancestors are just normal everyday folk,like you mob here,it would be nice to discover you are part of some great bloodline but mostly we are not.

One thing he did find is that we are related by marriage to Sir Paul McCartney, on my mothers side,he is a 5th cousin,3 times removed!
That's my claim to fame!

I have always felt a strong connection to the 60s and 70s in the United States. I am only in my twenties now so I know that it seems like I could not have a past life so close to my own. Everyone else's past lives have been in ancient times so this has always been something that has confused me. Any thoughts?
